A further chapter in tho adventurous j career of Evelyn Hino Kitson was unfolded at the Hamilton Court to-day, when the bogus carinas called.upon to answer a'series of charges of obtaining cioney-and goods b>; falso.protoiKts. It appears that accuse'cl traded on spurious cablegrams, informing liini that he was to receive £1000 on a certain dato. Kitson pleaded guilty to alj counts and was committed for sentence. SUPREME COURT TRIALS. . Auckland, February 19. At the Supremo Court to-day, Albert Edward M'Queen and Harry Wilson, two prisoners who aro serving long terms of imprisonment at Mount Eden Gaol, wero. found guilty of assaulting Warder. Anderson and Alfred Froasken, causjng; actual bodily harm, and also attempting to-escape from gaol. Sentence was deferred.. Frank Ernest Watling, who had pleaded guilty to "a charge of forging the name of-his employer to a cliequo for £3, came up,for sentence., It was. stated that hiscmployer had reposed sufficient confidence in nim to go bonds-, man, and to offer to-employ him in future. Prisoner was ordered to como up for sentence'when called upon. A young man named Thomas Ward was acquitted on a, charge of theft of a-.'watch and gladstolie bag, the property,'of N. B. Lusk, at Te Kuiti, in February, 1912.. Charles Palmer pleaded not guilty to-a charge of false pretences. It was alleged that he.; represented himself as" a member of a well-known Auckland family, and.induced a tailor to cash a valueless cheque, for him. He claimed that -ho could prove an alibi, and the case was adjourned to give him an opportuu-. ity to. do so. Walter Kenny.'for burglary, -.was,sentenced to three refonnatiye^treatment..
