HOW THE TOWN HALL F\REI>. The Town Hall appears to l>o the building which suflored moro than any other tluough tlio cftorts of Sunday lnoining'e earthquake. Considerable tioublo has been in nonnal times, through slabs of plaster dioppnij' and ciacke appearing in the walls and eeilingn, and a good deal ol monev has been expended Irom time to luno in effecting repiiri. Tho jolt on Sunday caused a man} ciacks to appear in tho mam ■corridor and rooms on tho hist floor, tho ceiling of tho Ma\or's loom suffering in particular. It ia thought that tho damage only extends to the piaster, and not to any of tho s-lutcUual paits, but it might lie deemed expedient to sti ip somo of the rooms of their plaster facing to ascertain if the injury is moio tli.ui superficial. Tliqso looms with stamped stool ceilings aio apparently unharmed._ About £20 woith of mirrors, marble slabs, and tiles were broken in Odlin's Building (winch stands on the newest aien- of leclaimod land) v as the result of Iho eat thquako. It is also icported that a few chimnojs in private houses and a good deal of orockery in some of the city chops suffeied by the earthquake.
