Mr. Lloyd-George (Chancellor of the Exchequer), whilo at Glasgow, was tho •recipient of a letter threatening to wreck tho express by which he was to travel. Tho Caledonian railway officials advised him to travel by another train, but Mr. Lloyd-George insisted on jour-neying-by "The Flying Scotsman." The authorities took special precautions to prevent an outrage.
