At. the Magistrate's • ..Court ■■ to-day, further charges were heard against John Hill, Customs clerk, Christopher Robert Smith, and Samuel John M'CoTmick. They were charged, with' stealing, on June 24,1911; a sum of £17 2s. 6d., the property of Duckworth, Turner and Co., boot manufacturers, in..:' Christchurch. The accused pleaded l not guilty, and were .committed for trial.' The second , charge was one against Hill, Smith, and M'Cormick, viz., that on' June 9, 1911, they did. steal £13 Is., the property of Skelton, Frostick and Co., .Ltd., 'boot manufacturers, of Christchurch. Accused pleaded not guilty, and were committed for trial. Jas. Anderson Campbell, Christopher Robert' Smith, and Samuel John M'Cormiok . were chafged with stealing on December 11, 1912, the sum of £19 55., the property of J. and N. Phillips, of Australasia. They pleaded not. guilty, and were committed for trial. John Hill, Christopher Robert Smith, and Samuel John were charged with that, on November 29, 1911, they did steal a sum of £18 165., the property of John F. Duff, Ltd., of Christchurch, warehousemen. Accused again pleaded not guilty and wero committed for trial. '.'■■''.
