(From Ojr Special Corrceponlent.) The annual picnic of the Pctono Presbyterian Sunday School was held at Day's Bay yesterday. Tlie weather was perfect, and some 300 little ones wore made happy b.v the outing, A programme- of races was carried out. There has been a ready response- to Professor Cardstou's invitation to adults to assist in the Pctono Band Carnival, a good number iißSiunMing at St. Augustine's Hall last evening. Good progress was made bs* those who have, been allotted places in the various dances and displays. The King George Theatre, Lower Mutt, was-, well filled last evening for tho grand concert under the auspices of the . Star of New Zealand Lodge, TJ.A.O.D., in aid of their piano fund. Items were rendered by Wellington and local performers.
