There are universal tributes or' mourning throughout Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific. The Hudson Bay stores arc closed as a mark of mourning, and wireless messages have conveyed the news of tile death of the , company's lato Governor to all the Far Northern posts. When Parliament opened the Prime Minister (Mr. Borden) paid a tribute to the Into Lord Strathcona. He was, said Mr. Borden, a great Imperial figure. Mr. Borden on behalf of tho Canadian people forwarded a mnssac;o io lord Strathcona's relatives. Sir Charles Tupper will probably iepro&ent Canada at tho funeral. The London "Times," in a memoir on the lato Lord Strathcona, says that throughout the Empire ho will be long remembered as an inspiring example of patriotic spirit. King George, Queen Mary, Queen Alexandra,' and other Royalties have condoled'with Lord Strathcona's daughter. The-newspapers suggest that Lord Strathcona should be buried in St. Paul's Cathedral.
