Mr.- Arthur Balfour, in the first of a series of twenty.lectures on Theism at Glasgow Univcrsitv, said that he did not wish to discuss the Absolute, but a God that took sides, who worked for a great end, and was a Spirit engaging with other Spirits who asked us to work with Him.
