_ Mr. J. S. Evans presided over a'sit-! ting of the Magistral's Court on Saturday morning. ;,.;', . Isabella Cochrane, who had been ■'■ remanded for sentence from the previnus da.y on a charge of stealing clothing, etc., to tho value of £6 17s. 6d. from John T. K. Hnirinp, appeared, and was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, on condition that the sum of £5, the cost of tho stolen property, was repaid within two months to tho owner of tho property. Mira Cooper pleaded guilty to two charges, one of insobriety and another for a breach of her prohibition' order. 'Twill givo you Mother chance," said His Worship, "but you must keep away from drink. You will come up for sentence when called upon." Louis Altaian-was remanded to appear at Ormondvillo next Wednesday on a cliarge of obtaining from William Fulton, at Norsewood, a suit of clothes by means of a valueless cheque. Bail was allowed, himself at £25 and ono surety of £25. For insobriety, .-Harry Rogers was fined 10s.; quo first offender was ordered to pay 17s. 6d. medical expenses, while throo other first offenders wero each fined ss.
