PLEA FOR BIBLE TEACHING
, - $ —___ ■ ADDRESS BY VISCOUNT BRYCE. By Telecraph—Press Association—Copyrk'lit (Rec. January 4, 5.5 p.m.) London, January 3. Viscount Bryco (lately the Right Hon. Mr. James Bryce), in an address to tho Conference of Educational Associations at the University of London, entered a warm plea for Bible-teaching. He regretted that, tho knowledgo of tho Biblo was declining in all classes of the com-, niunity. Ho had been struck by the samo thing in the United States. It would bo a great misfortune to Great Britain if a generation of children grew up without knowing the Bible. The loss would bo incalculable, viewed from the educational standpoint alone.
