-■ Mr. F. '.ilichardson's tender of £340 10s,, for grade improvement work ou part of Victoria Itoad was accepted. It was decided upon tho motion of Councillor Bowden to grant keys of water meter boxes to those ratepayers who desire them.
It was resolved to approach the Railway Department with a request _that they will convey passengers to Ngaio, Kaiwarra, ami Jolmsonville, by the train leaving Wellington at 7.10 a.m. daily. The Postal Department is to bo written to and asked to make arrangements for clearing public letter hoses at Ngaio and Kliandailali late each afternoon in addition to the present clearance at 9.45 a.m.
