Macartliy intimatiiiG that it had heen decided to grant a sum of £100 as a contribution in. aid of this general purposes of the society. Ho had hired a conveyance- ami had taken it to the corporation Yards. There the man in ehargo of' the kennels had stated that they were "not taking any more, dogs in is it was too near Christmas." Tho , ■inspector had eventually destroyed the animal. The inspector also reported that the horse of si special constable which had been injured by a shaft had died, although it had been .treated by a vctcnuair surecon. .
