"WILLIAM TELL."
At tho Town Hall, to-night, at 8 o'clock, the musical public of Wellington will have an opportunity of hearing Madamo Evelyn Ashley, of Melbourne, who so delighted the largo audieneo that assembled at the performance of "William Tell" on Tuesday. She will sing "Lo, Hero the Gentle Lark." with (lute accompaniment, "Tho Jewel Song" ("Faust"), and will be associated with Mr. Frank Graham in tho ever-popular duct "Miserere": ("II Trovatore"), and from "Cavalleria Rusticana." Mr. Frank Graham will sing "Bianca." Mr, l'\ It. Johnstone will play a 'cello solo, "■Meditation." Mr. Clarkson will have a cello obbligato to his song "Robandi." Mr. Uro will sing "Within This Holy Portal"; Mr. Calvort, "Lend Me Thy Aid" (from "Irene"); Mr. Courtenay Mohr, a solo from'-'Tagliacci"; and Messrs. Calvert and Mohr will sing, by request, the duet "Excelsior." There will also ho two orchestral items under tho baton of Hcrr Saner.. 'Altogether, a-' capital . programme has been arranged. Tho box plan is at tho Dresden. Popular prices, 35., 25., and Is., will bo charged. The concert will conclude at 9.45 p.m.
