AUCKLAND EXHIBITION.

(By Tclcßraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, December 5. Thousands of Auckland children revelled in the attractions of tlio inhibition to-day. They were granted a school, holiday lor t'lio purpose. Numbers brought, floral and vegetable exhibits for the children's flower show in tho Concert Hall. Most of the younger girls and boys were in parties attended by tcacjhcrs, who took considerable pains to instruct them as to the nature and meaning of as many exhibits as it was possible for them to see in 0110 day. A new lot of pictures, being portion of the Baillio collection, has been opened up, and selections are , being made thercfroin for tho purpose of adding to tho present art gallery display. The renewed collection will remain in position for about two months, when it will be replaced by ■ a second lot. In tho later stages of the exhibition season tho art gallery will bo occupied by a third collection, and as each change occurs gems of tlio preceding display will be allowed to remain. Yesterday's total attendance of 5500 has been eclipsed to-day. The roading of tlio turnstiles at 3 p.m. showed that 9428 persons liad passed through 6inco tlio morning. ( A largo number of visitors wcro continually passing through tlio gates throughout the afternoon.
