TECHNICAL SCHOOL
THE PLUMBING REUNION, The prizes and certificates won during tho year by tho students attending the plumbing classes of tho Technical School woro presented by the Director, Mr. W. S. Latrobe, at a reunion held on Thursday evening. Chief among .the certificates awarded were three Wellington Technical School diplomas (the first' issued), which involves the passing of an examination even more difficult than the papers set for the London and City Guild certificates, and taking iu sanitary science as a theoretical subject, Thcso diplomas were won by Messrs. C, TlioniDson, P. J. O'Connor, and H. O'Neil, who on receiving tho same were cordially applauded.
It was announced that out c,f eighteen candidates for the London and City Guild's certificate, fifteen had. passed (four with first-class honours). The toast list was as follows:—"The Wellington Technical School," "The Director," "Tlio Master Plumbers," "Kindred Classes," "Tho Instructors," and "Old Boys." During the evening Mr. C. Thompson (a diploma winner), who is_ leaving Wellington, was presented with a silver match-box.
