MILITARY CAMP INCIDENT.
THREE MEN HEAVILY FINED. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyricht Sydney, December 2. Three of the men in course of training, who participated in tho Liverpool military camp incident, were heavily fined for riotous behaviour. Drastic measures have 'been, taken to prevent a recurrence of tho trouble. Strong armed guards.patrol tho streets, and the Police Forco lias boon largely increased, while tho camp has been removed farther from town. A party of men, who had no permission to leavn camp, were blocked by a picket, numbering ton men, carrying sido arms only. The picket ordered them back. Some obeyed, but others remained, and their numbers were gradually augmented. Th" non-commissioned officer in charge of the picket then summoned assistance. Determined rushes were made against the picket meanwhile, but the ten men stco<l firm, until finally they were carried back A relief party now arrived, with fixed bayonets, and advanced with bayonets at tho slope. The opposing parties were within a few feet of each other, and a collision seemed imminent, but a second relief party soon arrived, and the intervention of an officer-averted further complications.
