FIRST DRILL OF AWKWARD SQUADS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyricht London, December 1. Two Suffragette armies are ready for action. "Tho People's Army," under Miss Sylvia Pankiiurst, had its first drill at the Bow headquartors. Tho "soldiers" shaped like awkward school children. They were mostly unablo tD take tlio' business seriously. Detectives watched them laughingly throughout, and did not interrupt them. Tho other army, under "General" Drummond, has been raised to protect Mrs. Pankiiurst and Miss Annie Kenney from rearrest. Largo numbers havo joined. Tho secretary observed that weapons would be used. HOSTILE AUDIENCE AT MILAN. Rome, December 1. Owing to the hostility of her audience, Miss Christabel Pankiiurst, tho Suffragette, compelled to abandon her lecture at Milan. .WOMEN'S .VOTE IN AMERICA. Washington, December 1. The American Women's Suffrage Association has. launched a week's campaign to secure women's Suffrage, throughout tho United States. Several women and legislators addressed a mass meeting, urging that a petition bo sent to tho President asking him to introduce a message in Congress recommending the granting of tho suffrage.
