Pyramns, in a letter to tho officor in command of the special constables, says:— . I wish it wero possible to express in an adequate manner my thank? to thoso volunteers who assisted to coal the Pyramns. It was an .incident, I think, without parallel in tho history of tho Navy. Ploaso do me tho favour of conveying to thoso thorough sportsmen this messago of appreciation of every soul on board tho shin by allowing this letter to bo read on parade. Believe me, the incident will never bo. forgotten. This is but a poor way of expressing my feelings. I beg to remain, yours very gratefully, (sgd.) I*. T. Stopford, Commander.
