Wreckage- at Bird Rock, in the St. Lawrence River, indicates that the steam collier Bridgeport sank, and that forty-two men of the crew were drowned and ten thousand tons of coal lost.

Nor YorK) November 15. - Tho wireless ..'station at Capo Race reports that -ho Spanish steamer Balmes (3794 toils gross) is on fire, and that a hundred passengers have been transferred to the Cunard liner I'annonia. The Baltics has been abandoned.

New York, November 16. , The Balmes has not been abandoned, as previously reported, but is proceed* ing to Bermuda, under her own steam, accompanied, by the Paniionia.
