BY GftEYMOTJTH BUSINESS MEN. (By Telegraph— Pf-ess Association.) Greymauth, November 14. A _ large and representative meeting of citizens was held in tho Town Hall this afternoon to deal with tho position arising out of tho strike. Tho Press was not admitted. The following resolutions were passed: "That this meeting of Grcymouth commercial interests convey to you (the Prime- Minister) its I appreciation of tho firm and capable \ manner in which the Government is dealing with tho -labour crisis through which the -country is passing. Wo realise that the inaintenaiic& of law and order h the fundamental principle of sceiety, and consider that the- thorough methods adopted by tho Government to protect those who aro willing to work aro in the best interests of AW Zealand. (2) That this meeting of Greymouth commercial interests approve.of tho firm attitude adopted by tho Bm-ploy-ers' Federation in the present crisis, and express its confidence in the executive of your Federation." A copy of tho formor resolution was sent to the Prime Minister, and tho' latter to Mr. W. Pryor, secretary of the Employers' Federation, Wellington.
