RELAYS OF LABOUR. ■•' (By TeleeraDh.—Press Association.) Nelson, Novomuer 13. The local wharves were again worked by farmers and others comprising tho' new Arbitration Union to-day without molestation from the strikers who, however, showed somo resentment at tho. new lumpors discharging coal from tho steamer Kennedy. Two young farmers volunteered as firemen for the bay steamor Kina, which was held up owing to shortage of men and, tho Marine Department's permission being obtained, the vessel sailed. Three seamen left another bay steamer, tho Wairoa. ■■ The miners at Puponga haVe ' 'downed tools" in sympathy with the strike, and those at the North Cape mine are considering tho question of coming out. The steamer John was delayed at the former place. - Arrangements are being made for a systematic supply of wharf labour, each district taking it in turn to supply the necessary men. The Federation Union has received word from Wellington to stand firm, the effect of the arrest of tho Federation officers being increased solidarity.
