A BOGUS TKLEGRAM. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUnedtn, November 11. A meeting of tho Duiiedin branch of the Seamen's Union was hold in the Trades Hall to-night, There wevo about 120 members present, and the meeting lasted over two hours. It is Understood that the seamen unanimously decided to stand by their agreements, and that, later the day, a genuine message was received from Mr. Belcher, advising the Manuka's teen to' stand by the boat and not to com© out. • It "was rumoured to-day that, a telegram had been received at Fort Chalmers purporting to emanate from Mr> Belcher, calling on tho men of tho Manuka., which is due to arrive at Port Chalmers-to* morrow morning, to como out. It was also stated that later intelligence proved this telegram to be bogus.
