NOT RESPONDING TO GENEIt&L CALL. Tlio Storemen's Union met in tho Trades Hall last night, and 'tether considered the questions 0f striking, There wore seventy-sis present. Tho meeting decided that they we.ro not prepared, to stop work immediately, inasmuch as tlio strength of tho union 111 comparison with tho whole body of storemen did not appear to justify sv.ch action.
It was decided' also that tho secretary should be instructed to wait upon employers who had "victimised" members and ask the employers to reinstate tie men. Failing such reinstatement tho secretary is to call a special meeting for Wednesday next to deal with tho matter.
