The manifesto adds that the labour crisis is not' tho out-come of any dispute between the Auckland employers and the, men,. but is wantonly thrust Upon tho community bv tho ruthless policy of the Federation of Labour. A desire to obviate the possibility of tho recurrence of similar disorganisation, being inado in tho country at tho behest of an irresponsible.; body prevents the employers dealing with that organisation which had declined to recognise tho statutory provision already existing for the l settlement of industrial disputes, Tho em« plovers are fully a.livo to tho advantage of being able to deal ivith properly constituted trades unionism, aud it is hoped that the formation of a union upon tho usual lines will he tho solution of tlio difficulty. As it. is essential that the trado of.the Dominion should bo carried on it has been decided that workers prepared to subscribe to the above renditions will be forthwith employed under full and adequate protection, and to guarantee a continuance of employment after the present troubles aro over to those who perform their duties satisfactorily.
