ATTITUDE OF DRIVERS.
(By T®l«sn«,ub—Press Association.) Auokland, November 7. The Auckland Drivers' Union held a meeting this evening, tho hall being packed to tho doors. A series of resolutions were carried unanimously as follows:—"That we place ourselves entirely in tho hands of the Strike Committee to be ; called out when deemed necessary." 1 "That the National Executive of the United Federation bo asked to stand firm in their domands." "That in regard to victimisation of tho men who refused to cart goods for special constables, the men will not return to work until theso drivers have been reinstated." . "That tho Auckland drivers are determined to fight to the bitter end, x and pledge their moral and financial support to tho Watcrside Workers' Union/' The tone of the meeting was distinctly in favour of an immediate strike, but, under tho restraint of the leaders, the foregoing resolutions were carried. At tho conclusion of the meeting the men—7oo strong—marked on. foot to Queen Street, where a strike meeting was in progress.
