LOCH MABEN UNDER SUSPICION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Reo. November 8, 0.40 a.m.) Melbourne, November 7. After the hurdles, at Williamstown to-day, the stipendiary stewards asked the owner of Loch Maben to hand over his horse for examination. The owner refused, and a policeman was summoned, the horso forcibly taken from him, and the shoes removed. The shoes' are now in tho hands of tho stewards. Loch Maben started favourite, and finished a poor third out of five startera.
