CALL TO CEASE WORK.

(By Telesraph.—Prczs Association,! Auckland, .November 4. A meeting of workmen employed attho Exhibition Buildings, ana grounds was Hold last night, at tlie instance of tho Striko Executive, to consider what action should be taken. After discussion, it was decided to adjourn tho meeting until the luncheon hour iu-day. Proceedings wore resumed accordingly, and a couple of striko pickets addressed the men. A resolution 111 favour of joining in the strike, whenever tho executive should call upon them, was moved, and seconded. Before it was put a considerable number of the 3SO men present withdrew, and, when a show of hands was taken, only about forty voted in favour of it, tho resnaiuder refraining from indicating their views. . It is understood -that tho Exhibition workers as a whole are not in favour of "downing tools."
