In view of the uncertainty created by tho_ watersiders' strike, regarding tho ability of North Island horses to get to lticcarton. the oommitteo of tho Canterbury Jockey Club has made special. arrangements regarding acceptances for the approaching meeting. These will be received subject to tho horses being ablo to get to the meeting, and fees will not bo charged if facilities are not available for them to fulfil their engagements.
