.At the annual meeting of the Taihape Tenuis Club, tie report showed that the' club had experienced a \Vcry successful year, and -the balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £37 17s. Id. The club's assets are estimated at £67 Is., and tho "liabilities.at .£6 Is. Owinfj to tho poor'attendance, tho election of officers and other business was postponed for a,week. At a meeting _of the committee of tho Taihape Athletic Club on Wednesday, Mr. J. Thurston notified that if a schoolboys' championship was included in the programme for the New Year's Day sports gathering, ho would donate a gold medal for competition. Mr. W. M'lonnan also offered to donato a gold medal, and the. committee decided to include a 100 yards and 220 yardß championship for Bchoolboys in the programme. Donations of £10 10s. each were made towards tho prize fund by Mrs. A. E. Gibbons and Messrs. Wakeman Bros. At the annual meeting of the Taihape -Bowling Club .the following wero elected as office-bearers:—President. Mr. D. Neagle; vico-president, Mr. J. Do Luen ; committee, Messrsi R. M'Laren, G. Wrightson, A. James. E. Jones, and F. Shanley; secretary, Mr. W. P. Garner; auditor, Mr. A.' M.Ryan.
