TIMARU SHOW.
(By Telegraph.—Frees Association ) Tiroaru, October 29. The Timaru A. and I'. Show opened to-day in wet wcatlicr. In Border Leiccsters Mr. D. M. Sutherland, of Waimate, is the chief prize taker. A sheep breeder who xecentlv visited the Old Country said lie had not seen better sheep there. 31r. E. Killan led in English Leicesters, and Mr. M. Grant was well up in. both Border and English Leicesters. Mr. D. Grant (Timaru) led in Eonineys.'
Once upon a time there was really no assistance for the cheese-maker; he had to take "pot luck" with whatever orude a-pparatua came his way. And even a few years back cheese-making was an uncertain process. Then came: tlio "Victor' Vat and with the advent of this most Efficient aid chccse-making was lifted out of the "rut," and is to-day ono of the chief industries of this country. Every cheese factory manager should, mstal "Victor" V-ats or at least send to Mr. A. J. Parton, Plumber, Carterton, for particulars.—Advt.
