WANGANUI KENNEL CLUB.
( An organised effort is well under way to augment tlie numbers and improve tho strain in Now Zealand of tho Airedale terrier—tho. largest, hardiest, staunchest, and brainiest of all tho breed. . Christchurch led the way, and has now a thriving club, and Wellington is not far behind, and possesses many fine specimens. To further stimulate tho movement,' the Wanganui Kennel Club has included in tho programme for its annual show, held on November 19 and 20, no fower ITian 12 classes for Airedales, and subsidised tho ordinary prize money by three special trophies. By all accounts, almost all the southern rivals in recent exhibitions will again contest there for supremacy under the eye of a now judge, Mr. W. G. Mason, of Auckland. Last year there were over 1200 entries for dogs at the Wanganui Show, and this' season's figures are almost sure to surpass that total. The closing day for entries is November 5.
