RIFLE SHOOTING.

OPAKI V. SUBURBS. The Suburbs Defence Rifle Club visited Masterton yesterday, to fire a team's match against the Opaki ltifle Club. The best scoro of the day was by e>xCliampion G. Hydo, with a fine score of • 100, closely followed by his clubniate, Rifleman R. J. King, with 98. Tlio best score of tho Suburbs was. by Rifleman F. A. Prico, with 92. The visitors were tho quests of Mr. and Mrs E. Harper, of Matahiwi, and Mr. aud Mrs. E. R. Kraliagon, and tho Opaki Club, who did all in their power to make tho visitors' stay a pleasant 0110. ' After the match, Rifleman R. J. King thanked tho Suburbs Club for their visit, and assured them that a return mr,tch at Wellington would be welcomed by his club, and trusted jtliis match would bo made an annual affair. President C. K. Graham thanked the Opaki Club for their match, and for. the kind way they catered for them, and a return match would bo looked for later in the year by his club.
