Khandallah—Fleming (s.), 24. Mr. W. H. D. 801 l sent a letter ' apologising _ that ho was unable to be 5 present owing to a previous engagement. KELBURNE CLUB. Tho following will play for Kelburno in the Pennant match against Wellington on November I:—Home: Mnn.loy, Baldwin, M'Robie, Harton (s.); Professor Kirk, Hutchison, Johnson, Routley (s.). Away: Moadoworoft, H. Gannaway, M'Coll, Horner (s.); Dttherty, E. C. Garrnaway, Dr. Begg, Gray (s.). THE NEWTOWN CLUB. A progressive rinks competition was) played yesterday on the Newtown Bowling Club's green, on lines which provided that every man in each rink was replaced by a different man in each position after each of the games. Four games of an hour and three-quarters' play each were played, and as a resultMessrs. Laws, Haycroft, and Porter tied for tho lead's prize; Fownes, Parkinson and Youmans tied for the No. 2's; Webb and R._M. Brackenridg© for the No! 3's; and Powell and Wyfie for the skips. As the result of the playsoff, the player first mentioned in each division won tho prizes. Tho progressive system which was worked out by tho secretary went without a hitch, and was generally looked upon by tho eight rinks who played as having provided an unusually attractivo day's sport. VICTORIA CLUB. An oight-rink tournament was played yesterday, the teams participating being skippered by Messrs. Snaddon, Mayer, Varcoe, Redstone, Rcid, Godber, Vosseler, and Marks. Tho tournament was won by tho last-named team, which was oomposed of Messrs. Yeoman, Levi, Martin, and Marks.
