LIVE STOCK SALES
Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Pal-in-erston North, report having a fair yarding of cattle at their Palmerston North sale on Thursday. All the stock changed hands, with the exception of one pen, at the following prices :—Small mixed yearlings, £1 19s. 6d.; aged store cows, £2 Is.; empty cows, £2 17s. 6d. to £3 155.; cowa -and> calves, £3 18s. 6d.; light fat cows, to £5 135.; dairy heifers, £5 4s. to £5 155.; light fat builoclw, £8 55.; fat bullocks, to £10 lis. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., (Ltd., report;—At Kongotca, on Wednesday, wo had a good entry of all classes ,of stock. There was brisk competition all through, and practically every "line was sold under the h-ammor:—Shc-ep: Light fat ewes, £1 2s. Cattlo; Cull yearlings, 19s. to £1 73.; sma.ll yearlings. £1 17s. to £2 55.; yearling heifers, £2 10s. to £2 15s. 6d.; 18month heifers, £3 10s.; storo cows, £2 15s. to £3 195.; forward heifers, £4 125.; cows with calves, £5; cows in milk, £5; bulls, £2 ss. to £6 15s. Pies: Weaners, Ug.; slips, £1 to £1 Is.; forward stores, £1 IBs.
