YACHTING.
PETONE SAILING SEASON. The opening of the sailing season in connection with the Heretaunga Boating Club at Petono will take place- on Saturday afternoon. The gathering was to have taken placo last Saturday, but was. postponed on account of the weather. The fleet will assemble at the end of the wharf, when the commodore, Mr. J. A. Macdonald, will declare the season open. Immediately after the opening a race will be held for each class. Mrs. Macdonald, wife of the commodore, will ■ fire the starting 'gunfor the races. ,
