ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.
(To thb Editor.) Sir—ln your otherwise excellent report of tho Onslow Borough Council an error occurs, in that portion dealing with the engineer's re-engagement. The first amendment.l moved was lost by 5 votes to 4, not 7 to 2, aB you stato. After this result Councillors C. Munro and Gardner (who voted for. the first amondment) deolined to pursue the matter further, and the subsequent amendments were lost by 7 to 2, only Councillor Bowden and myself voting for it. The engineer's reappointment for one year was then carried by the same majority.—l am, etc., L. A. BROWNE.
