TO KING'S PRIZE MATCH IN NEW
SOUTH WALES.

Sydney, October 17. The King'? Match at the prize meeting of tho New South Wales Rifle Association at Randwick Range, Sydney, provided an exciting finish between Sergeant M'Alister, of Junee, and Sergeant Stan. Edwards, of Melbourne. M'Alister was docked four points, for allegedly exceeding the time-limit by one shot. He protested, and the points were restored to his score. The two men then finished level, the soorea being 295 all. On the shoot-off (three shots), M'Alister won by a point. Both marksmen were "chaired" round tho camp. The winner was. not included in the Australian team, but visited Bisloy at his own expense, and beat all the selected men, securing fifteenth place in the King's Prize Match. At the recent Brisbane Rifle Meeting he got second plaoe in the King's Matoh. It is understood- that owing to his questioned Bhot, M'Alister's win in tho King's Match has not been finally settled.
