Two rinks from tho Victoria Club played at Newtown last Wednesday. Tho 21 heads' play left tho scores even. One rink only played off, giving tho victory to tho visitors by ono point. Tho Bcoreß were: —Newtown: Popple, Talbot, Spiers, J. M. Brackenridge (s.), 18; Victoria: Bolton, Duthio, Youmaus, Godber (s.), 15. Newtown: Fownes, Caterer, Porter, J. Pollock (s.), 15; Victoria: Castle, Carroll, Hatch, Langclnn (s.), 18. Totals: Newtown, 88; Victoria, 33. , Tho following will represent Newtown In a friendly game at Hataitaf on Wednesday next:—'Tonks, R. Brown, Por-. ter, Phillips, (s.); E. Read, Copithorno, Crosby, Castle (s.).
