ATHLETIC & CYCLING UNION.
The annual meeting of the Wellington Centre of the N.Z. Athletio and Cycling Union was held on Thursday evening in the New Zealander Hotel, Mr. J. D. M'Phee presiding. The ohairman, in presenting tho balance-sheet, congratulated delegates on the sound financial statement of tho centre. Ono new. club had been formed in Wellington, and tho •outlook for tho forthcoming season was very encouraging. Tho following office™ were eleoted for tho ensuing year:—President, Mr. D. Moriarty (re-olccted); vice-presidents, Messrs. Niel Austin, sen., and W. S. Brice; executive, Messrs. J. D. M'Phoe, J. P. Dowling, W. Eagnr, J. Williamson, and J. H. Tomlins; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Jas. Kennedy (Te-elect-ed); centre handicappers, Messrs. J. D. M'Phee (runnins) and Jas. Kennedy (cycling). Mr. W. Eagar was appointed, centre organiser for the Wellington district. A hearty vote of thanks was proposed to Mr. Moriarty (president). and to all the past executive.
