MANAGER FOR TOURING TEAM. ' (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Chrl3tchurch, October 17. At a meeting of tho Management .Committeo of the Now Zealand Cricket Council, it was decided to appoint Mr. S. A. Orchard as manager of the New Zealand toam for Australia. ALLEGATION DENIED. Invercarglll, October 17. In regard to a statement from Wellington, alleging the boosting of certain Southland players for the New Zealand team, the Southland Cricket Association to-night passed a motion disclaiming any knowledge of such boosting.
