A return laid on the table of tho House of Representatives yesterday to the prder of Mr. Young (Waikato) shows that tho chaff, oats, and butter Used at tho Cambridge military camps this year were purchased in Wellington. Tho prico paid for tho chaff (57 tons) was £6 Gs. por ton for the oats (2C70 bushels), 3s. 2d. per bushel, and for tho butter (90241b.) lljjc]. per lb. Tho charges for transhipment for all sunplies from tho railway station to tho carnp ground amounted to £35.
