As in previous years it is desired that special) reference should be made at the schools, as to tho results of Nelson's great vicjj tory: (1) In savins the Motherland' from invasion and ensuring the, peaca. and freedom of tho seas of tho world.> (2) That it is due to the self-dcnialS and devotion to duty of Lord Nelson.:' and our forefathers that wo aiow enjoy/ security and prosperity under tho pro- 1 tection of tho union Jack. (3) That wor-* ourselves must be prepared to show] this same spirit, of determination andi self-denial if wo intend to do our sharo\ in the maintenance of the Imperial Navy, and thus retain the heritage of > sea power which is tho essence of national existence.
