There were many hysterical scenes ut Bow Batlia, some women screaming for protection, while others hurled chairs at tho police, and dropped bencbcs oil their heads from a gallery. Tho light lasted a considerable time, and police reinforcements were needed tj control the situation. Miss Sylvia Pankhurst was arrested, and placed in a taxi. The crowd surrounded tho car, and endeavoured to rescue her. « , Tho polico were forced to use their /batons, and Miss Pankhurst escaped in the melee. THE HUNGER-STRIKERS. London, October 13. At Feltham, the Sufi'ragottcs Mary Richardson (who has been four times arrested under tho "Cat-and-Mouse" Act), and Rachel Pearce, both looking , palo and haggard owing to their liungerstriko, were, committed for trial. Richardson declared that no ono could compel her to servo any senteiico.

Miss Annie Kenney, who "hungerstruck," is in a dangerous condition, and has beon released.
