TYRONE TENDERS.
THE SUCCESSFUL SYNDICATE. (By Teleeraph —Press Association.) Dunedin, October 14. It is -understood that tho tender of )i Port Chalmers syndicate (known as the Koputai Syndicate) has been acceptEd for salvaging tho gear and cargo of the wrecked steamer Tyrone. E. R. \Miller, a well-known diver, is one of tho principal members of tho syndicate. The terms of t^e;.teflder ri it is' said,, are that the salvagers will receive about three-quarters of the not value of whatever is saved from the vessel. The sea is. gradually accomplishing; its work of destruction. ,All. the cabin doors on the starboard side have been stovo in, and tho sea has started to rip off the hatches of No. 1, 2, and 3 holds. Waves are to be seen washing upon tho deck, and then finding their way down the hatchways'. This afternoon 13 officers (deck and engine-room) and 19 seamen from the Tyrone sailed for Wellington, where they will embark on tho Ruapehu for London. Captain Beaumont (Shipping Master at Dunedin) has been very busy during the past few days arranging' their passages. When London is reached the officers and men will be sent on to their homes by the Board of Trade. . '
