The "Times" says that tho Indian troublo in South Africa must very ' seriously prejudice the British Imperial system in India and elsewhere. Tho paper suggests that a representative of tho Government ,if India should visit South Africa and discuss tho problem with General Botha, Union Prirno Minister. Johannesburg, Ootober 1. Dr.- Abdur Ralioau, presiding at the Congress of tho South Africa political organisations Kimberley, (declared that virtual slavery oxists in the northern provinoes of the union. Ho added that tho whites wero determined to ropress tho aspirations of tho colourod peoplo aud keep them slaves. (Rco. October 3, 0.10 a.m.) Johannesburg, October 2. Four Indians, including Gandhi's son, have been fined £1 for hawking without a license. They elected to go to gaol. Some of tho Indian prisoners aro hungerftriking.
