' + — : THE CLAIM BY CANTERBURY. Mr. G. W. Russell, M.P., has received tho following letter from the Minister of Defence in reply to tho deputation of Canterbury mombors about tho location of the aeroplane Britannia"With reference to the suggestion tho aeroplane should bo located in Canterbury, as so far no one has been appointed to experiment with this machine, it has been decided to store tho aeroplane in Wellington until suoh appointment is made. In the meantime steps will be taken by the Defenco Department to find out where the best conditions obtain for the establishment of a Cjing school, and in doing this the facilities offered by the flat nature of tho country in the Canterbury Province will not be overlooked." .
