JAPANESE ULTIMATUM TO CHINA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. September 28, 6.5 p.m.) London, September 27. Japan has delivered an ultimatum to China, demanding compliance with her domands within three days. These demands include the parading of General Chang Hsun's troojis before the Japanese Consulate at Nanking. Ten warships, filled with bluejackets, are awaiting, in the vicinity, a reply to the ultimatum, while 750 Japaneso troops are proceeding to Hankow. Shanghai, September 27. ' The Japanese Consul at Nanking has ordered all residents of his nation within the Consulate, where machine-guns will protect them. It is now stated that General Ohang Hsun has not apologised. Peking, September 27. British merchants, regard the Japanese activity in the Yangtse district with anxiety. Adventurous Japanese have secured from the rebels important contracts and concessions, including the iron minos at Anhui, and an extension of mining concessions in Hanan.
