FIGHTING SHIPS ORDERED TO THE MEDITERRANEAN.

Tho Admiralty Board announces its intention to send a detachment of the First Fleet, consisting of four battleships of tho First Battle Squadron tho Third Cruiser Squadron, tho First Light Cruiser Squadron, and the Third Flotilla, under tho command of \ iceAdmiral Sir Stanley Colviile, to cruise in tho Mediterranean early in November, returning for Christmas. ..... Tho Fourth Battle Squadorn will join the detachmont at Gibraltar, and after manoeuvres tlie combined fleet will proceed on a cruise as far as Alexandria, visiting various ports en route. _ Thereafter tho Third Flotilla, which consists of- sixteon modern destroyers, will remain ill tlie Mediterranean, and the destroyers now there will return homo.
