CONCLUDING DAY. •• MERRY ROE WINS THE GUINEAS. (By Telegraph—Frees Association.) Auckland, September 21. The Avondale Jockey Club's spring meeting was concluded yesterday: in splendid weather. Tho course was again in fine order, and there was a very large attendance. During the day the totalisator staff handled £28,900 10s., as against £20,705 for tho corresponding day last year, making a total of £49,901 10s, for tho meeting, as against £30,321 10s. last year.
There were two accidents during the afternoon. Hoyboy fell in the Steeples, and M'Kinnon, tho rider, was* badly Bhaken. C.
