Auckland, September 19. The Mayor has decided not to call a publio meeting to consider tho administration of justice in tho Supremo Court in Auckland. He states it would not best serve tho objects of the petitioners and tho publio to do so at present, for within his knowledgo definite Bteps are now being taken by tho responsible authorities to' secure proper inquiry and take suitable action.
