MOTOR BOATS.
PORT NICHOLSON CLUB REPORT. The annual report of tho Port Nicholson Motor Boat Club shows the affairs and finances of the club to Ijp in a most satisfactory condition. Tho club L«s a credit balance of £55 19s. 6d., and tho stock in hand increases that amount to £58 9s. 6d. Thero wero 55 members at tho beginning of tho last season and during the course of tho season six new members were elected, while ten members resigned, leaving the present membership at 51, inclusive of four lady members. There are 20 launches and yachts on the club's The committee expresses sympathy with Messrs. Westwood and ..Smith who lost thoir launch, Mauntni during a recent southerly gale. During the season threo successful club picnics were held ancf seven , racing events wero decided. At the club's annual smoke concert, tho Walker and Hall Cup was presented to Mr. J. Garfield, whoso launch had won it outright. In conclusion the committee thanks those members who .contributed to the prize fund and also Captain Johnson and members who contributed to tho general fund.
